Which bands/acts will feature at the 2012 Ardmore Pattern Festival? Who will the crowds dance the night away to next July? We are already starting to line up another selection of fabulous live music acts for next year's Festival. Watch out for our Festival Programme for details of the acts that will grace the Festival Stage! Live music in previous years has included Jungle Boogie and The Bentley Boys and tribute bands to Abba, The Beatles, Queen and Blues Brothers; local bands Sampson and Out the Gap, as well as popular bands Two Time Polka, Bog the Donkey and The Paddies. While the Ardmore Pattern Festival is a modern, family-friendly Festival, showcasing much of what makes modern Ireland tick, the Festival would not exist at all but for the rich cultural heritage of St. Declan of Ardmore.  One of the aims of the Festival is to commemorate the life of St. Declan and what this means to the people of Ardmore, passing on the traditions and history of the area to our young children and future generations. THE ARTISTS TRAIL

The Arts continue to be an integral part of the Pattern Festival each year. Ardmore is extremely fortunate to be home to a number of very talented artists and we are delighted to work with these artists to showcase their talent to the thousands who attend the Festival each year. The Artists’ Trail proved a very popular attraction during previous Festivals, with those following the trail being able to visit the studios of Bridget Shelley and Judy Shinnick, as well as Mary Lincoln’s Ardmore Pottery, Breeda O’Brien’s Ardmore Gallery & Tearooms and also seeing local artist Brenda Harris

On The Water

POWERBOATING AND THUNDERCATS

Water-based activities have become an integral part of the Pattern Festival since its inception in 2007. 2009 saw the exciting spectacle of Powerboating featuring Thundercats in Ardmore Bay for the first time and in 2010 Ardmore hosted a round of the ISA National Powerboating Championships, featuring P750 (Thundercats/Zapcats) during the Pattern Festival. The speed and daring feats of the powerboaters held the crowd enthralled on both Saturday and Sunday afternoons – and you could also get your own chance to take to the
