The beautiful and bubbly Fair City actress, playwright & author, Orlaith Rafter paid a visit to Ardmore to launch the 2010 Ardmore Pattern Festival at the weekend (Sat 3rd July), and took time out to make sandcastles with the kids, and to discover the ancient heritage sites, walks and culinary delights that the village has to offer.
As Orlaith strolled casually on to the beach in Ardmore, the sense of awe and excitement grew among those who were enjoying the summer sunshine. Sandcastle building, ball games and sun bathing came to a standstill as onlookers saw Orlaith get the golden sands of Ardmore between her toes and pose for photographs with Clara Bell of Wobbly Circus, who was there to give a flavour of what this year’s Festival will have to offer. See our Photos section for more pics from the Festival Launch.
Now that Orlaith has officially raised the curtain on the next production of the Ardmore Pattern Festival why not come along from the 23rd to the 25th of July for a rip-roaring, rock-and-rolling, firework-blowing weekend of fun and craic for all the family.
