Just a couple of stories to keep you going, now that we have wound down from this year’s very successful Pattern Festival……

Festival Calendar
Due to the hundreds of fabulous photos that were taken by various photographers over the Festival weekend, the Pattern Committee has decided to produce a 2011 Ardmore Pattern Festival Calendar, showcasing the best images from the 2010 Festival. This Calendar is being produced to raise much-needed funds, so we can ensure that the 2011 Festival will be as fabulous as this year’s! The biggest job we have now is choosing which photos to use in the Calendar – not an easy task!! So, watch out for the 2011 Ardmore Pattern Festival Calendar – it will bring back many happy memories of Summer 2010 and will be a souvenir to cherish…..

Pattern 2010 DVD
A DVD pictorial and musical slideshow of the 2010 Ardmore Pattern Festival is now available to buy at the local Tourist Office in the Big Sandcastle @ The Beach...contains over 200 images from the weekend set to some catchy tunes...grab one now for yourself or get one sent to relatives/friends abroad....plays in any DVD player or PC...... Contact producer Gerry O’Mahony for details on (086) 395 7962. Another souvenir to cherish…..

Visitors to the Festival - from near and far…..
We would like to hear from you if you travelled from afar to this year’s Pattern Festival. Obviously, a large section of the crowds who attended the 2010 Festival came from counties Waterford, Cork and Tipperary, but we want to hear where else you travelled from – from other counties in Ireland, or especially those who travelled from abroad. We know of one particular family who travelled en-masse from England this year, but what other countries were represented at the 2010 Pattern Festival? Tell us from whence you came........ simply leave a comment in the box below, or e-mail us at ardmorepattern@gmail.com..... We’d love to hear from you…..

Hello there

We travelled in a party of four from Doncaster, England. 386.74 miles/622.39 Km.

Mick Casey, John Casey (dad), John Casey (brother) and Mícheál Casey (son).

We came for the Ardmore Pattern and to check in on family and friends around West Waterford. We thoroughly enjoyed the week which cumulated with the Pattern festivities.

I can foresee our party expanding with annual trips over to Ardmore to join in the festivities. We were made very welcome by all and especially looked after by my cousin, Gerry O’Mahony and his family.

Can’t wait to get back. I’m counting the days.

Mick Casey
