The Pattern Festival Committee is currently working hard on this year’s programme of events. Our regular meetings are getting busier and busier as we head for Summer 2012……. Emer, John K, Ciara, John S, Mary Jo and Maurice are pictured at our last meeting hammering out the details of this year’s programme. So, what have we in store for you??

Some old favourites are scheduled again this year, so you can look forward to another wondrous Fireworks Display and some fantastic live music on the Festival Stage (with more bands than ever this year!!). You can also start preparing your entries for the sandcastle and fancy dress competitions; get in training for the Road Bowling and anticipate some more spectacular Powerboating in Ardmore Bay, as well as looking forward to our annual Festival Pageant and Guided Walks.

What interesting tales will be told by this year’s guest speakers in St. Paul’s Church? What events and workshops will take place in St. Declan’s Hall? We’re working on the answers to all of these questions and some……

As always, we aim to bring something new and fresh to the Festival each year, and 2012 is no exception. We have some wonderful new acts lined up for you in relation to street entertainment – prepared to be wowed! We’re delighted to be bringing Aslan to Ardmore, and also have a number of other bands lined up for your entertainment – details to be announced later! We’re also working on a number of other new, exciting items, which haven’t been featured at the Festival to date - watch this space for further info!  We’ll keep you posted……
