Fancy cooking up something a bit special this summer but just don’t know where to start? Well, who better to show you than multi award-winning chef and proprietor of the prestigious Dunbrody House Hotel - Kevin Dundon.

Having worked all over the world and having cooked for the likes of the Queen, President Bush and Bono amongst many, many others, Kevin returned to Ireland and established Dunbrody in 1997. It has since gone on to receive numerous accolades, including restaurant of the year in 2004, 05 and 06 and is considered to be one of Ireland’s premier dining locations. Kevin also runs a cookery school at the hotel, which is recognised as one of the most respected in the country.

Now, thanks to the sponsorship of Brookes SuperValu, Youghal, the Ardmore Pattern Festival Committee is delighted to announce that Kevin Dundon will be coming to Ardmore village on Thursday 26th July to give us one of his unique Cookery Demonstrations.

“We’re delighted to work with the Ardmore Pattern Festival Committee to help bring Kevin to the village as part of the festival”, said Ken Brookes, owner of Brookes Supervalu. “Not only is Kevin a great Chef, he’s also a great personality and his demo will make for a very entertaining evening.”

Kevin has recently helped launch a range of food for SuperValu and he appears in their latest television advert. He is also well known from his time as resident chef in RTE’s ‘The Afternoon Show’.

The ‘Supper by the Sea’ Cookery Demo will take place in St Declan’s Hall, Ardmore at 8pm on Thursday 26th July - so make sure to keep that date free in your diary. Tickets cost €10 and include a €5 voucher which can be used against a purchase in Brookes SuperValu, Youghal. Tickets can be bought on the door on the night.
